ROBERT DAVIS

Brig. Gen. Robert Davis is the Deputy Director for Operations, Joint Staff J-3, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. Brig. Gen. Davis is responsible to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for ensuring continuous 24/7 operations from the National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center, including nuclear command and control and global operations monitoring, reporting and direction to combatant commands.

Brig. Gen. Davis commissioned into the Air Force in 2000 through the University of Portland Air Force ROTC program. Following his commissioning, Brig. Gen. Davis performed an operational exchange tour as an aircraft maintenance officer before continuing his career in the national security space enterprise. He has held a variety of assignments in the space mission area to include satellite acquisition, launch, operations and associated staff work, and has served in the Air Force, the National Reconnaissance Office, the Space Force, the Joint Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Davis was the Space Force Program Executive Officer for Space Sensing, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. Brig. Gen. Davis cross-commissioned from the Air Force into the Space Force in 2021.
