JUSTIN W. PHILLIPS Mr. Justin W. Phillips, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Deputy Director of Staff, Office of the Chief of Space Operations, U.S. Space Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He provides executive management, oversight, guidance and direction for the Space Staff in support of the U.S. Space Force mission, programs and administrative operations. He exercises supervision and management oversight for directorate personnel. He also provides advice and assistance to the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Space Operations on numerous aspects of Department of the Air Force policies, plans and programs. Mr. Phillips began his government career with the Air Force Audit Agency in 2004. Since then, he has held additional positions at various locations with increased responsibilities to include Auditor, Audit Manager, Executive Officer, Supervisory Auditor, Division Chief, Deputy Director and Director. He has extensive experience leading large organizations and overseeing financial and performance audits of Major Defense Acquisition Programs. Prior to his current position, Mr. Phillips was the Director of Staff, Headquarters Air Force District of Washington, where he was the principal civilian advisor to the Commanding General, providing Executive Director leadership for over 6,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel, managed the headquarters staff’s daily operations, materials and resources, and provided strategic oversight of the Air Force Memorial.
