KARA M. TROHAUGH

Ms. Kara M. Trohaugh, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of Strategy, Force Structure, and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Space Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this role, Ms. Trohaugh is responsible for developing and synchronizing Space Force strategy, plans, force structure and posture, as well as international, interagency, and commercial partnerships with Department of War priorities. Additionally, she leads the transformation and implementation of Space Force warfighting requirements and force structure assessment processes.

Ms. Trohaugh began her career at the Office of Naval Intelligence in various analytic and leadership roles within the Farragut Technical Analysis Center, the Kennedy Irregular Warfare Center, and the Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center. She has completed multiple deployments as a civilian intelligence analyst in the U.S. Central Command, U.S. Africa Command, and U.S. European Command areas of operation in support of US Navy expeditionary and special operations forces.

Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Trohaugh served at Headquarters, U.S. Space Force as the Deputy Director of Requirements and as the Division Chief for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Partnerships and Integration.
