The B-21 is being designed to be highly survivable with the ability to penetrate modern air defenses to strike any target, anywhere on the globe in a contested area of operations. The program plans to deliver the first B-21 aircraft to operational bases in the mid-2020s.

U.S. Army Gen. James H. Dickinson assumes command of the United States Space Command from U.S. Space Force Chief of Space Operations, Gen. John W. Raymond during a ceremony a Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., 20 Aug. 2020. Dickinson’s command assignments include Commander, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC); Commander, 94th AAMDC; Brigade Commander, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Eighth United States Army, Republic of Korea and Battalion Commander, 1st Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery, Fort Bliss, Texas, where the battalion deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

LT. Gen. Nina Armagno promoted and transfers into U.S. Space Force

Lt. Gen. Nina Armagno became the first female officer to promote to three-star general and transfer into the U.S. Space Force during a ceremony at the Pentagon, Aug. 17. 2020. Armagno will serve as the director of staff for Headquarters U.S. Space Force, where she will oversee day to day staff operations to include establishment activities for the new service.
