Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, commander of Space Systems Command, delivers opening remarks at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., Sept. 26, 2024, during the 10th annual Schriever Wall of Honor ceremony recognizing pioneers in U.S. space and missile development. Each year, the names of six individuals are added to the Schriever Wall, named after Gen. Bernard Schriever, who successfully led U.S. ballistic missile and satellite projects during the early years of the Cold War. The 2024 honorees are: retired Maj. Gen. Edward L. Bolton, Jr.; retired Brig. Gen. Maurice A. Cristadoro, Jr.; Dr. Antonio L. Elias; retired Col. Francis J. Hale; retired Lt. Gen. Susan J. Helms; and Mr. Edward M. Lassiter.
