Honoring Space and Missile Pioneers
Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, commander, U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command, delivers opening remarks at L.A. Air Force Base on Sept. 26, 2024, during 10th annual Schriever Wall of Honor ceremony recognizing pioneers in U.S. space and missile development. Each year, the names of six individuals are added to the Schriever Wall, named after Gen. Bernard Schriever, who successfully led U.S. ballistic missile and satellite projects during the early years of the Cold War. The 2024 honorees are: Maj. Gen. (ret.) Edward L. Bolton, Jr.; Brig. Gen. (ret.) Maurice A. Cristadoro, Jr.; Dr. Antonio L. Elias; Col. (ret.) Francis J. Hale; Lt. Gen. (ret.) Susan J. Helms; and Mr. Edward M. Lassiter.

USSPACECOM, working with Allies and Partners, plans, executes, and integrates military spacepower into multi-domain global operations in order to deter aggression, defend national interests, and when necessary, defeat threats.
